Master Account deleting queue takes more than a month

Hey PlayFab Team,

Prior to January 1st, we had been routinely deleting master accounts of testing accounts across 41 different devices/Unity instances. This process had typically taken no more than a minute to complete and we had been able to re-register with the same account without any issues.

However, after deploying a significant update, we sought to test it on all of our devices by following the same deletion process. Unfortunately, we were unaware that it was necessary to unlink our accounts from the master accounts beforehand, as this was not clearly communicated. We had also grown accustomed to the expedient deletion process that typically took around one minute.

As of January 14th, we have been awaiting the completion of the deletion process for these accounts. The ongoing delay has halted our development progress, as we are unable to access Unity and conduct any testing.

  • Everything was done using the PlayFab console.

We find it difficult to comprehend why a queue can persist for such a prolonged period (more than a month now), particularly for a service that claims to be enterprise-grade. This experience has prompted us to re-evaluate our choice of PlayFab.

The time it takes to delete accounts depends on the number of players waiting to be deleted in the deletion queue, and how much data exists in those player accounts that needs to be cleaned up. Please bear in mind that this is not a queue solely for your title - it is a queue for all titles. So, for example, if someone chose to delete a title that had many players, that could introduce a significant delay in the queue.

So, if you want to immediately re-use the login credentials (device ID, Facebook account, etc.), you'll need to unlink it first. Otherwise, you'll have to wait for the account to be processed before you can re-use the credentials in question.

Besides, if you have the access to create support ticket, you can submit a support ticket so that our engineers can take a look into this issue for you.

There is practically almost nothing in them, also we have deleted them one by one and not as a bulk, so it's suppose to be single items.

Sadly, I cannot open a support ticket since I have just upgraded and it will be available only on march first.

Sorry for the late reply. Could you provide the PlayFabIds of the players stuck in the delete queue and your TitleId so that we can try to resolve the issue for you.

Sadly I do not have the playfab ids since I deleted them from the UI.

The title ID is: 63A65

If you don't have PlayFabIds, we can't check for players stuck in the deletion queue for you. Do you have any login credentials such as customId or deviceId?
