Creating a Funnel to track a sequence of reported Events?

I wanted to ask what the official recommendation for this process is in 2024, as the only question & answer I could find on the forum is from 2017 & 2018 (with the 2018 answer talking about "more analytics around things like funnel analytics" coming)

I'm migrating from Unity UGS which you can provide a sequence of events and generate a funnel of player dropoff depending on that. What is the best way to do this with PlayFab? Even better: is there a way to do it with KQL?

Currently, PlayFab doesn’t provide features for you to create a funnel to track a sequence of reported Events, you may need to manually use the built-in events or custom events to do the Funnel analysis. Also, PlayFab provide Churn Prediction feature(https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/gaming/playfab/data-analytics/learn-data/churn-prediction/overview) for you to Identifying churn to reduce player attrition and increase engagement.

Hmm. Could some sort of funnel report & visualization still be generated with KQL and the Data Explorer?

You could use KQL and Data Explorer to track generated events and have visual charts based on the events. Please refer to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/gaming/playfab/data-analytics/learn-data/data-explorer/getting-started-with-data-explorer-advanced .
