The only place I've found mention of regions is when creating game server builds. There are check boxes that correspond to the AWS regions, and parameters to start a game in that region.
Can player data be stored in a specific region? Is there any other representation of regions in PlayFab?
For companies that want to have a private instance of PlayFab, that can be set up in any AWS data center, in any available region. For our core service, that runs in the USWest region of AWS. That said, AWS is an approved Safe Harbour, so if the concern is about restrictions on where user data can be stored, I would recommend checking if AWS is approved, as some countries that have data storage restrictions have done so.
