Discrepancy in User Data Between PlayFab and Other Ad Networks

Hello Community,

I hope everyone is doing well. We've come across an intriguing challenge related to user data and are seeking insights, along with any potential explanations from the community.

There's a notable discrepancy between the user count reported by PlayFab and that reported by other ad networks, with PlayFab's count being nearly half of what's being stated elsewhere. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue, and if so, how did you go about resolving it? Additionally, does anyone have an explanation regarding this discrepancy?

Your experiences and suggestions, as well as any insights into the potential reasons behind this, would be immensely helpful. Looking forward to your valuable input.

Thank you!

The discrepancy may be due to the differences in the way PlayFab and other ad networks define and count the "users". The ad networks might be counting users based on different criteria, such as unique device identifiers (the same player may access your game from multiple devices), cookies (players may clear cookies on a regular basis), or some other way that results in a higher user count. Since we are not familiar with ad networks, you may ask the ad network for further help and understand how it counts the total number of players.
