We would like to be able to trigger actions when the leaderboard is reset or several hours before it's reset. Is it possible to do?
The specific scenario would be notifiing our players when a tournamnet has ended, or that its going to end in x hours.
In general, you would use a scheduled task to do something like this, though bear in mind that players will be processed sequentially, so it will take a varying amount of time to get the notification out to all users, depending on how many players you have in total.
