How query players who bought a specific item?

The most flexible is to use the PlayStream data as an input source to an integrated analytics provider (check the Add-ons tab for information on those). Alternately, if you want to do your own analytics (using Tableau, for example), you can set up the Analytics->Event Archive to send all events for your game to your own S3 bucket, so that you can import them from there to anywhere you might need them (we can also get you the configuration files you'd need to set up an import into your own Redshift cluster, if you prefer that).

Finally, if you only need specific items tracked, you could set up a Segment (Players->Segments) which would add the player to the segment when there's a purchase event for that specific item.
