I was wondering if there will be an api method to retrieve items from a catalog by ItemId instead of having to retrieve the whole catalog and loop through it. I noticed there was discussion around this a few years ago and was hoping it might have been added by now. Is this something that will be added soon?
Currently there is no such API method to get a specific item by its id. In my opinion, that would potentially cause high API rates when fetching items multiple times in a short period, compared to retrieving the whole catalog in a single API call and cache it locally for later use, which could be more efficient.
