Where "Logins" tracks on every login to your game for all players, "Installs" is tracking only the first time each user logs into your game. So that chart gives you the new user rate.
Installs is not the correct term then, or it's misleading. In our app the first login will occur when the player chooses to 'connect to facebook' so clearly we have more installs than this as only a certain percentage will choose to do this.
Thanks for the feedback! Obviously, we have no way of determining any activity on the client if no account is created. We chose installs" to refer to new accounts as a convenient shorthand, but if we find that it's confusing to developers, we'll get it updated.
