We are looking into creating a User Generated Content store which would involve adding items to the UGC catalogues. One thing we see is that there appears to be a limit to the number of Items available. It says it's set to 1000. Is it possible to increase this? What are the costs associated with this being increased. The documentation does not indicate any other than base storage.

You can view UGC limits in Game Manage->Title settings->Limits.
If you are a user of the enterprise plan you can contact the sales team to discuss the size of the limit. Except for the enterprise plan, other plans cannot modify this limit.
The cost of UGC is determined by the amount of requests and storage used, you can refer to UGC Pricing Meters - PlayFab | Microsoft Docs.
