I Get the error:

Selected user account does not exist in tenant 'Microsoft Services' and cannot access the application in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Please use a different account.

I've followed the instruction of creating an AAD user for PlayFab, and am logged-in with that user, but still can't access the Dashboards section in Azure Data Explorer.

Is there a solution?

Have you checked this documentation - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/gaming/playfab/features/insights/connectivity/connecting-azure-data-explorer-to-insights to connect the external Azure Explorer to Insights? As this documentation said, excepting using AAD user to login to your PlayFab Title and Azure Explorer, the AAD user's permission should also be

  • Admin status.
  • Access to the Explorer tab and associated data.
  • Read and write access to Analytics data.

The URL of the external Azure Explorer is https://dataexplorer.azure.com/.

To ensure you use the correct AAD user account to login to your PlayFab title and Azure Explorer, you can also try to use the "private mode" of your browser.

We followed the above documentation to connect the external Azure Explorer to insights, it can work fine.
