Limit for Titles in Development per Studio

Hi!

We are developing a game using PlayFab. The new pricing model imposes a limit for the number of titles that can be in development mode at once.

We currently have a number of titles in our studio account for the same game to represent different environments we want to play on. Our CIS server deploys builds to those environments. For example we have

  • One title used for daily playtests inside the team
  • One title used by QA to check things
  • One Title for any team that want's to do an ad hoc play test for a specific purpose
  • 2 titles for an external partner so they have access to the current version and the version from last sprint

In addition to that we created titles for developers that they can use to test their code changes without interfering with anybody else. This worked really good so far.

This will get us over 10 titles in development. To solve this we would like to create another studio and move the titles for developers to it. For this purpose the "Free to start" or "Standard" pricing would be enough for use.

Would just adding another studio to our account and putting the developer accounts there be considered abuse? Would you recommend this kind of setup? Are there better alternatives to the use cases I mentioned above that you could recommend?

Kind Regards

Markus

We're actually discussing that limit internally, as 10 doesn't realistically account for a title per developer in most teams - particularly if you have more than one title in development. For now, if you're in any paid tier, please go ahead and open a ticket with our support team via the Game Manager to request an increase in the number of Dev Mode titles for your studio.

Thanks. We will do that.

For organizational reasons we are thinking about creating a playfab studio per game so we would have all titles that belong to a game grouped. Would something speak against that from your point of view?
