Can we use the new Playfab Data Explorer to query data exported to Azure Blob?

We are planning to export some events into an Azure Blob, it possible to query the data using Playfab data explorer?

And if yes, would we need additional services beside the Blob storage?

Thanks

Tarek

You can use the PlayFab Explorer to query all the event data stored in PlayFab Insights directly in the Game Manager, however, please also note:

“By default, PlayFab Insights stores 30 days of title data. Note that only 14 days are held in the cache, meaning queries limited to 14 days will be most performant. In the future, these limits will also be configurable through a self-service experience.”

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/gaming/playfab/features/insights/explorer/getting-started-with-playfab-explorer

Therefore, if you wish to query the data that are generated more than 30 days ago, you may need to query them inside your Azure Blob where all the data are exported to , for that, you may consult the Azure team about the specifics. Or, you can also raise the data Retention so that the Explorer shall have more data to query: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/gaming/playfab/features/insights/insights/performance-retention#retention
