PlayFab service release notes now available!

Not sure if everyone here follows our blog, but we announced yesterday that we have begun publishing release notes for all service updates on GitHub (https://github.com/PlayFab/PlayFab/releases).

This means that every time we release an update to any of our backend services -- and we are continually updating the services -- we now issue a release note. You can subscribe to that page, and get notified proactively whenever we release an update.

Why is this important? First, you can now be the first to know when new functionality is deployed. Secondly, this is a new tool to help you diagnose service issues. We do everything we can of, course, to make sure that updates are seamless and invisible but we're not perfect and sometimes issues slip through. If you notice a service behaving differently, you can now check the release notes to see if we published an update to that service recently. And if we did, and you suspect that change caused the issue, then please contact us.

I see this as a step forward in creating more transparency for our services. Next up after this will be publishing a known-issues list to GitHub so we can better communicate known bugs or other issues, and so you can provide better feedback to us.
