In which geographic region is data stored? Is it configurable?

Hello

For privacy and compliance reasons, where is PlayFab data stored? Can we nominate regions?

By "data" I mean any user/profile/player data, but also any general data (e.g. title data, publisher data, title settings, config, etc).

Hi @Joel Malone,

My understanding of your question is, whether your game data is stored in a way that's compliant with privacy regulations. Our Playfab storage is compliant with EU policies. For reference: Terms of Service

Thanks for your answer, @FranklinChen! It's great that PlayFab is EU-compliant, as that is likely to be a requirement in our products.

Products can sometimes require compliance with (e.g.) governmental and regulatory bodies, where importance is placed on the physical location of data. Where are the PlayFab servers located, and can we nominate a location if need be?

Hi @Joel Malone, currently the core PlayFab service is in AWS US West 2 (Oregon)
