Nintendo Switch socket communication

Hello,

we are trying to port our game to Nintendo Switch, but we don't seem to have socket communication access. We have done the OMAS and Independent server setup.

Can you give us some information about using PlayFab on Switch environment? We applied to PlayFab middleware access trough Nintendo but it is still disabled on our title, could this be the problem?

Title id: D8E5
We applied with the email and name that is added in PlayFab.

Thanks,
Ferenc Nagy

We have received the feedback from the team that vendor verification email from Nintendo is received and confirmed which means everything works fine on PlayFab side . Beyond that, we aren't aware of any additional requirements to call PlayFab.

If it is still disabled in the Nintendo developer portal, you may potentially ask Nintendo's developer support to investigate/help.

Thanks for looking into it!
On the PlayFab dashboard, under Add-ons, do we have to install the Nintendo Add-on?
Because it is still showing the instructions to verify that we are a developer.

Thanks!

It should take some time before the NS add-on is enabled. As I have mentioned above, we have received vendor verification email from your side, which means what PlayFab can do should be already done. If you noticed it took too long to get add-on enabled, you may consult Nintendo developer support.

To clarify, the Nintendo Switch "Add-on" isn't something we need to enable on our side. As soon as Nintendo allows the calls to be made, there should be nothing blocking them.

If you're having trouble getting the requests to send from your game running on a switch, that goes a bit beyond what we're probably going to be able to help you with here. You're welcome to post the errors you see, but, as we have limited access to Switch development kits/docs, we can only be of so much help.
