iOS Push Notifications Setup - Invalid Parameter Error

We are using Push notifications for our game which were working fine in Sandbox environment.

Push notifications for iOS were set up using Game Manager. We pushed the build to TestFlight and notifications were stop working as we still had Sandbox certificate, we tried to up upload production pem file via Game Manager but getting this error "Invalid parameter: Name Reason: An application with the same name but different properties already exists".

We changed title name on Playfab to completely new name but error still persists. Can you please suggest something so that we can fix this issue, this issue is delaying our update. Title ID is 9F91.

Thanks

You can navigate to this thread: https://community.playfab.com/questions/6194/setuppushnotification-question.html. It seems the same error.

Thanks, we did changed our game name at portal to something very unique and that made it pass through ANS check.

I would highly recommend following:

  • Make it clear in documentation that setting notification in sandbox mode will reserve game name with amazon and developers won't be able to use same for production, it was a surprise and seems like we are not only one.
  • Make name reservation more intelligent by detecting sandbox mode and appending game name with something temporary or at-least let developers have override option.
