Is it possible to grant an item to a player via the web admin? If so, how?
It is possible to grant items to players in the Players tab at any time. Just select a player, select the Inventory sub-tab, click Select Item to find the item from your catalog that you want to grant the player, and click Grant Item.

The Web admin tool does not currently have item granting but it's on our backlog of features. For testing, you can manually grant an item using Postman (http://blog.playfab.com/2014/08/17/trying-out-playfab-services-using-postman/). Eventually we will not just let the web admin tool grant an item to a user, but you'll be able to grant items to all users, or a specific segment of users (for example, to celebrate a holiday).
