We are wanting to limit users to only the USA. Is there a built-in option somewhere that I am simply not seeing that prevents people from entering from outside of the US? Or do I need to do something custom with getting the user's region?

There is no built-in option to region lock a game in PlayFab. You could set up a "Rule" under "Automation" in the game manager that automatically bans any player outside the US when they log in. However be aware that this can be circumvented by players easily as location can be spoofed. Also be aware that because this method would require the user to log in first before being banned, they will be counted in this month's MAU.
