I'm developing an app that sends your records to Playfab's leaderboards. Users can post scores and get the best ones. They can also get their Facebook friends scores. So, is the Facebook's "publish_actions" permission needed to post or get scores (including friends scores)? Thanks!
No, the PlayFab leaderboards are entirely in our service, and do not depend upon any third-party systems. When you post an updated statistic in PlayFab, that triggers re-evaluating that statistic in the leaderboard. So one thing to be aware of is that if you immediately query a leaderboard when you get the response from updating a statistic, the new statistic may not yet be in the leaderboard.
