In documentation about Scheduled Tasks (https://api.playfab.com/docs/tutorials/landing-automation/creating-a-scheduled-task) there is written "resetting a leaderboard on a set interval". But how I can reset leaderboard, when task can run cloud script function which has no access to admin api to call leaderboard reset ? Or is there a way to reset leaderboards on custom time ? Like to create local leaderboard for let's say Europe only.
Thanks for calling that out - that was in error, so we've updated the tutorial to clarify. Currently, leaderboards can be set to reset hourly, at 00:00 UTC for daily, weekly, and monthly, or by using the Admin API call https://api.playfab.com/documentation/admin/method/IncrementPlayerStatisticVersion. We'll provide more options for leaderboard reset times in a future update.
I'm also feeling very constrained with the leaderboards right now, I can not delete them, I can not rename them and I can not clean them when I want and the only suggestion that you give is to use an external tool to do a job that playfab should be able to handle. Our game has leaderboards for special events and not recurrent ones in monthly, weekly or daily base.
As stated in our blog (https://blog.playfab.com/blog/upcoming-roadmap-2018-q4-oct-dec-edition), stat deletion is specifically being worked on this quarter, as part of a set of leaderboard improvements.
For custom reset times, yes, you can use the Admin API. Right now, we do not provide a way to have a fully custom reset time on leaderboard. We do plan to add that in future, but until that's been scheduled, we wouldn't be able to give a date for that.
