Request from a developer:

Need a Client API query which returns the SharedGroupId values for all Shared Group Data associated with a specified PlayFabId.

thank you Brendan for posting this as a feature request ! I didn't want to sound silly by posting it in case there was a way of doing it.

Bump. Two years later. Would like to use this feature as a housekeeping measure to make sure we don't end up with orphaned shared groups that contain users who have no idea that they were keeping a group's refcount from zeroing. This just seems more bulletproof than managing stored groupids with existence checks or blind deletes.

So, as stated in other posts, we prioritize in part based upon the number of developers asking for each feature. Unfortunately, as this particular request has had few requests, it's still well below other items that developers are asking for. Since shared groups are only intended for sharing data between a small number of players for things like async turn-based game state, the recommendation is to keep a "master" list of shared groups in player data, for reference.

So upon accepting an invitation to a group, we should then store the groupID in playerData to keep track of it?
