I'm wondering if PlayFab has a way to recover data that is accidentally lost or deleted. For instance, if I have a shared group data with tons of archival stuff in it, and through a bug it accidentally gets deleted, does PlayFab have a way of recovering just that data from a backup? (understandably with an additional support fee)

Hi Rich,
We do a daily backup of the data, and maintain that on a rolling 1-week window, but we've yet to have to use it for any purpose (all the data is multiple-redundant to start). It's intended for an all-up recovery, should something disastrous happen to AWS (across all the redundant components), losing our data. It's technically possible to recover a specific record from that period - it would require that we load the database into a separate instance, then copy the data in question from it, to our live instance. It's definitely not a trivial task, but if it's absolutely necessary, we can work with you to make it happen. If you find yourself in that situation, feel free to contact us at devrel@playfab.com, and we can work out the arrangements, in terms of timing and cost.
Brendan
