In the Unity SDK, the "Developer Secret Key" is stored in the PlayFab Shared Settings asset (Assets/PlayFabSDK/Shared/Public/Resources). This creates a problem. Ideally, we should not be committing the file with the secret key to source control. However, the PlayFab Shared Settings asset contains other configuration settings that we most likely do want committed to source control.
A good fix would be to split the PlayFab Shared Settings asset into two assets, one that can be committed to source control and one that should be ignored by source control.
