Currency reward for login streak : best practices?

Hello

We would like to offer virtual currency rewards for some specific login streaks (every day of the past 7 days, etc...)

I believe the built-in event rules are not flexible enough for such feature, am I correct?

I found an example at https://github.com/PlayFab/PlayFab-Samples/blob/master/Recipes/ProgressiveRewards/CloudScript.js but it's from 2016 : is this still the currently recommended approach?

(I know we should transition away from CloudScript to Azure Functions but we are already using CloudScript anyway and have no time for Azure atm)

The sample you mention is still the best practices. You can follow it to implement this feature.
