PlayFab Party for custom Matchmaking system

I was having a idea of utilizing PlayFab Party feature to create a custom matchmaking server by sending texts over then call Request Multiplayer Server API to start the match? does it even work?

Party and Multiplayer Server are separate feature that can work independently. In theory, you may modify any features you want. The suggestion is to handle the process of “custom matchmaking server” well and only a valid match can request for the server as it seems you are to enable the clients to request it.
