Based on the information here, it looks like you are attempting to create a new statistic for a single Player. Statistics are based on Leaderboards which are available for all Players in a Title.
This menu exists to place a specific player on a Leaderboard where they are not ranked or modify existing ranks, but the Statistic already exists as a Leaderboard. This is the cause of the warning you are seeing.
If new statistics need to be created, this is done in the Leaderboards tab.
