Daily Surge in API Calls at 11 PM (Korea Time, UTC+9) - Is This a Common Issue?

6012-20230605-233416.png

I'm reaching out to discuss an observation we've made regarding our API usage and to seek any insights or advice from the community. We have noticed that at exactly 11 PM Korea time (UTC+9), our API calls surge to about 30 times our usual volume. This pattern has been consistent, occurring daily.

While this has not yet led to any explicit problems for us, the consistency of this spike is causing some concern. We are particularly worried about the potential impact on our service performance and the possibility of downtime if this trend continues.

We have attempted to investigate this internally but have not been able to identify a clear cause. I'm curious if any other PlayFab users have encountered a similar issue or if this is a common occurrence that we should be aware of.

Could anyone share their experiences or insights on why these spikes might be happening? Any suggestions on how to manage or prevent such issues would also be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

We found that around 11 PM (Korea Time, UTC+9) every day, the three API (GetLeaderboard/GetLeaderboardAroundPlayer/UpdatePlayerStatistics)calls under your title would spike. You can check if your client's code is causing a spike in API calls about leaderboard during this period.
